About Utah...
The State of Utah's western state of the USA. It was the 45th state admitted into the Union on the 4th January 1896. Approximately 80 percent of Utah's 2,736,424 people live along the Wasatch Front, a center of Salt Lake City. In contrast, vast expanses of the state are nearly uninhabited, making the sixth largest population urbanized in the U.S. The name Utah "is derived from the Ute Indian language, meaning" people from the mountains. "
Utah is known as one of the most religiously homogeneous states in the Union. Between 58 percent and 72 percent of Utahns reported that members of The Church of Jesus Christ, latter-day Saints (also known as LDS Church or Mormon Church), which greatly influences Utah culture and daily life. State is the hub of transportation, information technology and research, government services and mining as well as one of the main tourist destination for outdoor recreation. According to U.S. Census Bureau population estimates, Utah has the fastest growing states in the United States since 2008. St. George, Utah was the fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States 2000-2005.
