This past weekend we cruised out to Palm Springs for a few days to hang with friends, soak up some inspiration and sunbathe in style. About two hours outside of LA, Palm Springs is a desert oasis synonymous with Hollywood exoticism. Since the 1920’s, stars like Lucille Ball, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley, Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra and Liberace have made it their winter hangout and weekend playground. Famous for its endless sunshine, spectacular mountainous views, and the largest concentration of mid-century architecture around, to be in Palm Springs is akin to living inside a Slim Aarons photograph.
Naturally, we felt a sense of responsibility to uphold its traditions of classic design and lean, low lines ~ so we drove into town in a 1968 Buick Le Sabre, its trunk stuffed with loose-fitting dresses, wide-brimmed hats and Hollywood-icon-worthy sunnies (Ferragamo’s new buckle collection was the ideal fit for this adventure: they’re the perfect meld of modernism-meets-throwback glamour). Every day is an occasion when you’re dressed the part!KELLY WEARS| Ferragamo buckle sunglasses (check out this great video for more!), Janessa Leone hat (also seen HERE), Cosabella bra, Vivienne Westwood dress, Schutz shoes
