Gulf Air has unveiled its new livery and brand identity at an event during the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, of which the carrier is title sponsor.
The airline is due to take delivery of its first B787 Dreamliner aircraft later this month, and will roster it onto flights to London from June 15. The new aircraft will be the first to feature the new livery.
As can be seen from the two images (above being the new livery and below a rendering of Gulf Air’s B787, provided by Boeing at the time of the aircraft order announcement), the falcon on the aircraft’s tailfin has been updated, and the old blue and gold colour has been removed from the front half of the fuselage, replaced by a white background with the Gulf Air branding in black in a new, more visible font. Finally the engines of the Dreamliner have been coloured gold.
