Luanda — The United States of America (USA) will continue to stimulate the co-operation with Angola for the promotion of environmental tourism and wildlife in Angola.
This intention was manifested last Tuesday, in Luanda, by the chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the USA House of Representatives, Ed Royce.
Speaking in the end of an audience with Bornito de Sousa the Angolan Vice President, Ed Royce, who is heading a delegation comprising seven members of the US Congress, expressed his country’s interest in boosting the co-operation with Angola.
ANGOP has learnt that the USA delegation is specifically focused on issues relating to wildlife and the environment.
Ed Royce also said that his country has also supported the electoral processes in Angola and other areas of vital importance to the country’s development.
Still on Tuesday, the US delegation held a meeting with the Speaker of the Angolan National Assembly (Parliament), Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
The US delegation – that also held meetings with Angolan MPs – is expected to have meetings with officials from the Angolan Ministry of the Environment.
