Hong Kong Airlines has launched a new in-flight menu for passengers flying in its economy class cabin that features popular local cuisine styled after dishes regularly found in casual cha chaan teng restaurants around the city.
The new meals will be available on all flights departing Hong Kong from Thursday, December 6 onwards, with the exception of its ultra-short-haul services.
Speaking about the new menus, Hong Kong Airlines deputy director of service delivery, Chris Birt, said: “These dishes are Hong Kong favourites and we’re excited to bring the taste of our city on board Hong Kong Airlines flights.
“We believe that Hong Kong-based customers will enjoy our new range of familiar dishes. At the same time, we can’t wait to introduce our overseas customers to these local-style delights to help them explore the diversity of Hong Kong’s food culture.”
